Privacy Policy
1. What We Collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the signup source, and the consent wording, version and time. When you submit a beta application, we also collect the information you provide, including your name, Discord username if provided, X/Twitter username if provided, investing experience responses, open-text application answer, and how-you-heard answer.
We may automatically collect basic web analytics and server log data, including page views, browser and device type, and IP address. We do not use persistent tracking beyond standard server logs during the closed beta.
If you have a Koinlux account, we also keep your account email, your sign-in sessions, your plan, beta and Founding Member status, the tickers on your watchlist and your alert settings for each, when you last visited, and any product updates you ask to be notified about. Supabase Auth stores passwords as hashes. When you delete your account, Koinlux's deletion function receives the password you enter and sends it to Supabase Auth to verify the request. We do not collect payment information during the beta.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Review beta applications and select testers.
- Contact you about your application status and beta invitations.
- Send occasional Koinlux build updates and beta announcements, which you can unsubscribe from.
- Operate and improve the beta platform.
- Prevent abuse and enforce the Koinlux Terms of Service.
3. Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate Koinlux, including:
- Tally for beta application form collection.
- Cloudflare for hosting, signup processing and Turnstile abuse prevention.
- Supabase for accounts and sign-in, account data such as your watchlist, and the contact and consent list, unsubscribe and suppression records.
- Resend for email delivery and bounce or complaint notices.
- Discord as a community platform, if you join.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
4. Email Communications
By submitting a beta application, you may receive essential emails, including application confirmations, invitation decisions, and beta access instructions. These are separate from optional updates; a hard bounce or spam complaint stops all sending.
Waitlist subscribers and applicants who consent to updates may receive occasional build updates and beta wave announcements. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time using the link in those emails. Verification, password reset and billing messages are separate; hard bounces and spam complaints stop all sending.
5. Data Retention
Application data is retained as long as needed to operate the beta program. If you are not selected and request deletion, we will remove your information. If you are selected as a beta tester, we may retain records of your participation after the beta ends.
If you unsubscribe or report spam, a limited suppression record may be retained after your contact details are deleted so we do not email you again without permission.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. When deletion succeeds, we delete your account and sign-in record, your profile, watchlist, alert settings, visit and notification records, and the mailing-list record for your account's email address. Of those mailing-list records, we keep only a limited suppression record so we never email that address again without permission. Our hosting and authentication providers keep short-lived system logs of sign-ins and account changes, which can include your email address or account ID, IP address, approximate location and browser, for up to 7 days, and then delete them automatically. Copies in database backups are overwritten within 7 days. Our email provider keeps delivery records, which include your email address, for 30 days and then deletes them. Deleting your account also deletes your beta application in Tally. If you applied under a different email address, email us and we will delete that application too.

6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@koinlux.com. If you have an account, you can delete it yourself from the Account page; you can also email us. We will respond within a reasonable time. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children
Koinlux is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to beta applicants. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
